¹ Then Joshua called the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh,

² And said unto them, Ye have kept all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, and have obeyed my voice in all that I commanded you:

³ Ye have not left your brethren these many days unto this day, but have kept the charge of the commandment of the LORD your God.

⁴ And now the LORD your God hath given rest unto your brethren, as he promised them: therefore now return ye, and get you unto your tents, and unto the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you on the other side Jordan.

⁵ But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

⁶ So Joshua blessed them, and sent them away: and they went unto their tents.

⁷ Now to the one half of the tribe of Manasseh Moses had given possession in Bashan: but unto the other half thereof gave Joshua among their brethren on this side Jordan westward. And when Joshua sent them away also unto their tents, then he blessed them,

⁸ And he spake unto them, saying, Return with much riches unto your tents, and with very much cattle, with silver, and with gold, and with brass, and with iron, and with very much raiment: divide the spoil of your enemies with your brethren.

⁹ And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan, to go unto the country of Gilead, to the land of their possession, whereof they were possessed, according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

¹⁰ And when they came unto the borders of Jordan, that are in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh built there an altar by Jordan, a great altar to see to.

¹¹ And the children of Israel heard say, Behold, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh have built an altar over against the land of Canaan, in the borders of Jordan, at the passage of the children of Israel.

¹² And when the children of Israel heard of it, the whole congregation of the children of Israel gathered themselves together at Shiloh, to go up to war against them.

¹³ And the children of Israel sent unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, into the land of Gilead, Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest,

¹⁴ And with him ten princes, of each chief house a prince throughout all the tribes of Israel; and each one was an head of the house of their fathers among the thousands of Israel.

⁴ And now the LORD ^H3068 your God ^H430 hath given rest ^H5117 unto your brethren, ^H251 as he promised ^H1696 them: therefore now return ^H6437 ye, and get ^H3212 you unto your tents, ^H168 and unto the land ^H776 of your possession, ^H272 which Moses ^H4872 the servant ^H5650 of the LORD ^H3068 gave ^H5414 you on the other side ^H5676 Jordan. ^H3383

⁵ But take diligent ^H3966 heed ^H8104 to do ^H6213 the commandment ^H4687 and the law, ^H8451 which Moses ^H4872 the servant ^H5650 of the LORD ^H3068 charged ^H6680 you, to love ^H157 the LORD ^H3068 your God, ^H430 and to walk ^H3212 in all his ways, ^H1870 and to keep ^H8104 his commandments, ^H4687 and to cleave ^H1692 unto him, and to serve ^H5647 him with all your heart ^H3824 and with all your soul. ^H5315

⁶ So Joshua ^H3091 blessed ^H1288 them, and sent them away: ^H7971 and they went ^H3212 unto their tents. ^H168

⁷ Now to the one half ^H2677 of the tribe ^H7626 of Manasseh ^H4519 Moses ^H4872 had given ^H5414 possession in Bashan: ^H1316 but unto the other half ^H2677 thereof gave ^H5414 Joshua ^H3091 among ^H5973 their brethren ^H251 on this side ^H5676 Jordan ^H3383 westward. ^H3220 And when Joshua ^H3091 sent them away ^H7971 also unto their tents, ^H168 then he blessed ^H1288 them,

⁸ And he spake ^H559 unto them, saying, ^H559 Return ^H7725 with much ^H7227 riches ^H5233 unto your tents, ^H168 and with very ^H3966 much ^H7227 cattle, ^H4735 with silver, ^H3701 and with gold, ^H2091 and with brass, ^H5178 and with iron, ^H1270 and with very ^H3966 much ^H7235 raiment: ^H8008 divide ^H2505 the spoil ^H7998 of your enemies ^H341 with your brethren. ^H251

⁹ And the children ^H1121 of Reuben ^H7205 and the children ^H1121 of Gad ^H1410 and the half ^H2677 tribe ^H7626 of Manasseh ^H4519 returned, ^H7725 and departed ^H3212 from the children ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 out of Shiloh, ^H7887 which is in the land ^H776 of Canaan, ^H3667 to go ^H3212 unto the country ^H776 of Gilead, ^H1568 to the land ^H776 of their possession, ^H272 whereof they were possessed, ^H270 according to the word ^H6310 of the LORD ^H3068 by the hand ^H3027 of Moses. ^H4872

¹⁰ And when they came ^H935 unto the borders ^H1552 of Jordan, ^H3383 that are in the land ^H776 of Canaan, ^H3667 the children ^H1121 of Reuben ^H7205 and the children ^H1121 of Gad ^H1410 and the half ^H2677 tribe ^H7626 of Manasseh ^H4519 built ^H1129 there an altar ^H4196 by Jordan, ^H3383 a great ^H1419 altar ^H4196 to see to. ^H4758

¹¹ And the children ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 heard ^H8085 say, ^H559 Behold, the children ^H1121 of Reuben ^H7205 and the children ^H1121 of Gad ^H1410 and the half ^H2677 tribe ^H7626 of Manasseh ^H4519 have built ^H1129 an altar ^H4196 over against ^H4136 the land ^H776 of Canaan, ^H3667 in the borders ^H1552 of Jordan, ^H3383 at the passage ^H5676 of the children ^H1121 of Israel. ^H3478

¹² And when the children ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 heard ^H8085 of it, the whole congregation ^H5712 of the children ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 gathered themselves together ^H6950 at Shiloh, ^H7887 to go up ^H5927 to war ^H6635 against them.

¹³ And the children ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 sent ^H7971 unto the children ^H1121 of Reuben, ^H7205 and to the children ^H1121 of Gad, ^H1410 and to the half ^H2677 tribe ^H7626 of Manasseh, ^H4519 into the land ^H776 of Gilead, ^H1568 Phinehas ^H6372 the son ^H1121 of Eleazar ^H499 the priest, ^H3548

¹⁴ And with him ten ^H6235 princes, ^H5387 of each ^{H259 H259} chief ^{H5387 H5387} house ^H1004 a prince ^H1 throughout all the tribes ^H4294 of Israel; ^H3478 and each one ^H376 was an head ^H7218 of the house ^H1004 of their fathers ^H1 among the thousands ^H505 of Israel. ^H3478

⁹ And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan, to go unto the land of Gilead, to the land of their possession, whereof they were possessed, according to the commandment of Jehovah by Moses.

¹⁰ And when they came unto the region about the Jordan, that is in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh built there an altar by the Jordan, a great altar to look upon.

¹¹ And the children of Israel heard say, Behold, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh have built an altar in the forefront of the land of Canaan, in the region about the Jordan, on the side that pertaineth to the children of Israel.

¹² And when the children of Israel heard of it, the whole congregation of the children of Israel gathered themselves together at Shiloh, to go up against them to war.

¹³ And the children of Israel sent unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, into the land of Gilead, Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest,

¹⁴ and with him ten princes, one prince of a fathers' house for each of the tribes of Israel; and they were every one of them head of their fathers' houses among the thousands of Israel.

¹ Then Joshua calleth for the Reubenite, and for the Gadite, and for the half of the tribe of Manasseh,

² and saith unto them, `Ye -- ye have kept the whole of that which Moses, servant of Jehovah, commanded you, and ye hearken to my voice, to all that I have commanded you;

³ ye have not left your brethren these many days unto this day, and have kept the charge -- the command of Jehovah your God.

⁴ `And, now, Jehovah your God hath given rest to your brethren, as He spake to them; and now, turn ye, and go for yourselves to your tents, unto the land of your possession, which Moses, servant of Jehovah, hath given to you beyond the Jordan.

⁵ Only, be very watchful to do the command and the law which Moses, servant of Jehovah, commanded you, to love Jehovah your God, and to walk in all His ways, and to keep His commands, and to cleave to Him, and to serve Him, with all your heart, and with all your soul.'

⁶ And Joshua blesseth them, and sendeth them away, and they go unto their tents.

⁷ And to the half of the tribe of Manasseh hath Moses given, in Bashan, and to its `other' half hath Joshua given with their brethren beyond the Jordan westward; and also when Joshua hath sent them away unto their tents, then he doth bless them,

⁸ and speak unto them, saying, `With great riches turn ye back unto your tents, and with very much cattle, with silver, and with gold, and with brass, and with iron, and with very much raiment; divide the spoil of your enemies with your brethren.'

⁹ And the sons of Reuben, and the sons of Gad, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh, turn back and go from the sons of Israel out of Shiloh, which `is' in the land of Canaan, to go unto the land of Gilead, unto the land of their possession, in which they have possession, according to the command of Jehovah, by the hand of Moses;

¹⁰ and they come in unto the districts of the Jordan, which `are' in the land of Canaan, and the sons of Reuben, and the sons of Gad, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh, build there an altar by the Jordan -- a great altar for appearance.

¹¹ And the sons of Israel hear, saying, `Lo, the sons of Reuben, and the sons of Gad, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh, have built the altar over-against the land of Canaan, on the districts of the Jordan, at the passage of the sons of Israel.'

¹² And the sons of Israel hear, and all the company of the sons of Israel is assembled at Shiloh, to go up against them to war;

¹³ and the sons of Israel send unto the sons of Reuben, and unto the sons of Gad, and unto the half of the tribe of Manasseh -- unto the land of Gilead -- Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest,

¹⁴ and ten princes with him, one prince, one prince, for a house of a father, for all the tribes of Israel, and each of them a head of a house of their fathers, for the thousands of Israel.

⁹ And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan, to go to the country of Gilead, into the land of their possession, of which they had become possessed, according to the word of Jehovah through Moses.

¹⁰ And they came to the districts of the Jordan that are in the land of Canaan; and the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh built there an altar by the Jordan, an altar of grand appearance.

¹¹ And the children of Israel heard say, Behold, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh have built an altar over against the land of Canaan, in the districts of the Jordan, separately from the children of Israel.

¹² And when the children of Israel heard [of it], the whole assembly of the children of Israel gathered together at Shiloh, to go up against them to war.

¹³ And the children of Israel sent to the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, into the land of Gilead, Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest,

¹⁴ and with him ten princes, of each father's house a prince, out of all the tribes of Israel; and each of them was head of a father's house, of the thousands of Israel.

¹¹ The children of Israel heard say, Behold, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh have built an altar in the forefront of the land of Canaan, in the region about the Jordan, on the side that pertains to the children of Israel.

¹² When the children of Israel heard of it, the whole congregation of the children of Israel gathered themselves together at Shiloh, to go up against them to war.

¹³ The children of Israel sent to the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, into the land of Gilead, Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest,

¹⁴ and with him ten princes, one prince of a fathers' house for each of the tribes of Israel; and they were everyone of them head of their fathers' houses among the thousands of Israel.

¹ Then Joshua sent for the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh,

² And said to them, You have kept all the orders of Moses, the Lord's servant, and have done everything I gave you orders to do:

³ You have now been with your brothers for a long time; till this day you have been doing the orders of the Lord your God.

⁴ And now the Lord your God has given your brothers rest, as he said: so now you may go back to your tents, to the land of your heritage, which Moses, the Lord's servant, gave to you on the other side of Jordan.

⁵ Only take great care to do the orders and the law which Moses, the Lord's servant, gave you; to have love for the Lord your God and to go in all his ways; and to keep his laws and to be true to him and to be his servants with all your heart and with all your soul.

⁶ Then Joshua gave them his blessing and sent them away: and they went back to their tents.

⁷ Now to the one half of the tribe of Manasseh, Moses had given a heritage in Bashan; but to the other half, Joshua gave a heritage among their brothers on the west side of Jordan. Now when Joshua sent them away to their tents, he gave them his blessing,

⁸ And said to them, Go back with much wealth to your tents, and with very much cattle, with silver and gold and brass and iron, and with a very great store of clothing; give your brothers a part of the goods taken in the war.

⁹ So Reuben and Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh went back, parting from the children of Israel at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, to go to the land of Gilead, to the land of their heritage which had been given to them by the Lord's order to Moses.

¹⁰ Now when they came to the country by Jordan in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh put up there, by Jordan, a great altar, seen from far.

¹¹ And news came to the children of Israel, See, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh have put up an altar opposite the land of Canaan, in the country by Jordan on the side which is Israel's.

¹² Then all the meeting of the children of Israel, hearing this, came together at Shiloh to go up against them to war.

¹³ And the children of Israel sent Phinehas, the son of Eleazar the priest, to the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh, to the land of Gilead,

¹⁴ And with him they sent ten chiefs, one for every tribe of the children of Israel, every one of them the head of his house among the families of Israel.
