4 And when he shall stand up, H5975 his kingdom H4438 shall be broken, H7665 and shall be divided H2673 toward the four H702 winds H7307 of heaven; H8064 and not to his posterity, H319 nor according to his dominion H4915 which he ruled: H4910 for his kingdom H4438 shall be plucked up, H5428 even for others H312 beside those.
Now that being broken, H7665 whereas four H702 stood up H5975 for it, four H702 kingdoms H4438 shall stand up H5975 out of the nation, H1471 but not in his power. H3581
I considered H1934 H7920 the horns, H7162 and, behold, H431 there came up H5559 among H997 them another H317 little H2192 horn, H7162 before H6925 H4481 whom there were three H8532 of H4481 the first H6933 horns H7162 plucked up by the roots: H6132 and, behold, H431 in this H1668 horn H7162 were eyes H5870 like the eyes H5870 of man, H606 and a mouth H6433 speaking H4449 great things. H7260
And it shall come to pass, after H310 that I have plucked them out H5428 I will return, H7725 and have compassion H7355 on them, and will bring them again, H7725 every man H376 to his heritage, H5159 and every man H376 to his land. H776
And G1161 Jesus G2424 knew G1492 their G846 thoughts, G1761 and said G2036 unto them, G846 Every G3956 kingdom G932 divided G3307 against G2596 itself G1438 is brought to desolation; G2049 and G2532 every G3956 city G4172 or G2228 house G3614 divided G3307 against G2596 itself G1438 shall G2476 not G3756 stand: G2476
That the triumphing H7445 of the wicked H7563 is short, H7138 and the joy H8057 of the hypocrite H2611 but for a moment? H7281 Though his excellency H7863 mount up H5927 to the heavens, H8064 and his head H7218 reach H5060 unto the clouds; H5645 Yet he shall perish H6 for ever H5331 like his own dung: H1561 they which have seen H7200 him shall say, H559 Where H335 is he?
And the whole valley H6010 of the dead bodies, H6297 and of the ashes, H1880 and all the fields H7709 H8309 unto the brook H5158 of Kidron, H6939 unto the corner H6438 of the horse H5483 gate H8179 toward the east, H4217 shall be holy H6944 unto the LORD; H3068 it shall not be plucked up, H5428 nor thrown down H2040 any more for ever. H5769
There is H3426 one H259 alone, and there is not a second; H8145 yea, he hath neither child H1121 nor brother: H251 yet is there no end H7093 of all his labour; H5999 neither is his eye H5869 satisfied H7646 with riches; H6239 neither saith he, For whom do I labour, H6001 and bereave H2637 my soul H5315 of good? H2896 This is also vanity, H1892 yea, it is a sore H7451 travail. H6045
Yea, I hated H8130 all my labour H5999 which I had taken H6001 under the sun: H8121 because I should leave H3240 it unto the man H120 that shall be after H310 me. And who knoweth H3045 whether he shall be a wise H2450 man or a fool? H5530 yet shall he have rule H7980 over all my labour H5999 wherein I have laboured, H5998 and wherein I have shewed myself wise H2449 under the sun. H8121 This is also vanity. H1892
Until I went H935 into the sanctuary H4720 of God; H410 then understood H995 I their end. H319 Surely thou didst set H7896 them in slippery places: H2513 thou castedst them down H5307 into destruction. H4876 How are they brought into desolation, H8047 as in a moment! H7281 they are utterly H5486 consumed H8552 with terrors. H1091 As a dream H2472 when one awaketh; H6974 so, O Lord, H136 when thou awakest, H5782 thou shalt despise H959 their image. H6754
They that trust H982 in their wealth, H2428 and boast H1984 themselves in the multitude H7230 of their riches; H6239 None of them can H376 by any means H6299 redeem H6299 his brother, H251 nor give H5414 to God H430 a ransom H3724 for him: (For the redemption H6306 of their soul H5315 is precious, H3365 and it ceaseth H2308 for ever:) H5769 That he should still live H2421 for ever, H5331 and not see H7200 corruption. H7845 For he seeth H7200 that wise men H2450 die, H4191 likewise H3162 the fool H3684 and the brutish person H1198 perish, H6 and leave H5800 their wealth H2428 to others. H312 Their inward H7130 thought is, that their houses H1004 shall continue for ever, H5769 and their dwelling H4908 places to all H1755 generations; H1755 they call H7121 their lands H127 after their own names. H8034 Nevertheless man H120 being in honour H3366 abideth H3885 not: he is like H4911 the beasts H929 that perish. H1820

Commentary on Daniel 11 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 11
The angel Gabriel, in this chapter, performs his promise made to Daniel in the foregoing chapter, that he would "show him what should befal his people in the latter days,' according to that which was "written in the scriptures of truth:' very particularly does he here foretel the succession of the kings of Persia and Grecia, and the affairs of their kingdoms, especially the mischief which Antiochus Epiphanes did in his time to the church, which was foretold before (ch. 8:11-12). Here is,
Dan 11:1-4
Here,
Dan 11:5-20
Here are foretold,
Dan 11:21-45
All this is a prophecy of the reign of Antiochus Epiphanes, the little horn spoken of before (ch. 8:9) a sworn enemy to the Jewish religion, and a bitter persecutor of those that adhered to it. What troubles the Jews met with in the reigns of the Persian kings were not so particularly foretold to Daniel as these, because then they had living prophets with them, Haggai and Zechariah, to encourage them; but these troubles in the days of Antiochus were foretold, because, before that time, prophecy would cease, and they would find it necessary to have recourse to the written word. Some things in this prediction concerning Antiochus are alluded to in the New-Testament predictions of the antichrist, especially v. 36, 37. And as it is usual with the prophets, when they foretel the prosperity of the Jewish church, to make use of such expressions as were applicable to the kingdom of Christ, and insensibly to slide into a prophecy of that, so, when they foretel the troubles of the church, they make use of such expressions as have a further reference to the kingdom of the antichrist, the rise and ruin of that. Now concerning Antiochus, the angel foretels here,
Of the kings that came after Antiochus nothing is here prophesied, for that was the most malicious mischievous enemy to the church, that was a type of the son of perdition, whom the Lord shall consume with the breath of his mouth and destroy with the brightness of his coming, and none shall help him.
