4 And I thought H559 to advertise H1540 H241 thee, saying, H559 Buy H7069 it before the inhabitants, H3427 and before the elders H2205 of my people. H5971 If thou wilt redeem H1350 it, redeem H1350 it: but if thou wilt not redeem H1350 it, then tell H5046 me, that I may know: H3045 for there is none to redeem H1350 it beside H2108 thee; and I am after H310 thee. And he said, H559 I will redeem H1350 it.
If thy brother H251 be waxen poor, H4134 and hath sold H4376 away some of his possession, H272 and if any of his kin H7138 come H935 to redeem H1350 it, then shall he redeem H1350 that which his brother H251 sold. H4465 And if the man H376 have none to redeem H1350 it, and himself H3027 be able H1767 H5381 to redeem H4672 H1353 it; Then let him count H2803 the years H8141 of the sale H4465 thereof, and restore H7725 the overplus H5736 unto the man H376 to whom he sold H4376 it; that he may return H7725 unto his possession. H272 But if he H3027 be not able H1767 to restore H4672 H7725 it to him, then that which is sold H4465 shall remain in the hand H3027 of him that hath bought H7069 it until the year H8141 of jubile: H3104 and in the jubile H3104 it shall go out, H3318 and he shall return H7725 unto his possession. H272 And if a man H376 sell H4376 a dwelling H4186 house H1004 in a walled H2346 city, H5892 then he may redeem H1353 it within a whole H8552 year H8141 after it is sold; H4465 within a full year H3117 may he redeem H1353 it.
Behold, Hanameel H2601 the son H1121 of Shallum H7967 thine uncle H1730 shall come H935 unto thee, saying, H559 Buy H7069 thee my field H7704 that is in Anathoth: H6068 for the right H4941 of redemption H1353 is thine to buy H7069 it. So Hanameel H2601 mine uncle's H1730 son H1121 came H935 to me in the court H2691 of the prison H4307 according to the word H1697 of the LORD, H3068 and said H559 unto me, Buy H7069 my field, H7704 I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, H6068 which is in the country H776 of Benjamin: H1144 for the right H4941 of inheritance H3425 is thine, and the redemption H1353 is thine; buy H7069 it for thyself. Then I knew H3045 that this was the word H1697 of the LORD. H3068 And I bought H7069 the field H7704 of Hanameel H2601 my uncle's H1730 son, H1121 that was in Anathoth, H6068 and weighed H8254 him the money, H3701 even seventeen H7651 H6235 shekels H8255 of silver. H3701 And I subscribed H3789 the evidence, H5612 and sealed H2856 it, and took H5749 witnesses, H5707 and weighed H8254 him the money H3701 in the balances. H3976 So I took H3947 the evidence H5612 of the purchase, H4736 both that which was sealed H2856 according to the law H4687 and custom, H2706 and that which was open: H1540 And I gave H5414 the evidence H5612 of the purchase H4736 unto Baruch H1263 the son H1121 of Neriah, H5374 the son H1121 of Maaseiah, H4271 in the sight H5869 of Hanameel H2601 mine uncle's H1730 son, and in the presence H5869 of the witnesses H5707 that subscribed H3789 the book H5612 of the purchase, H4736 before H5869 all the Jews H3064 that sat H3427 in the court H2691 of the prison. H4307
And thou hast said H559 unto me, O Lord H136 GOD, H3069 Buy H7069 thee the field H7704 for money, H3701 and take H5749 witnesses; H5707 for the city H5892 is given H5414 into the hand H3027 of the Chaldeans. H3778
Finally, G3063 brethren, G80 whatsoever things G3745 are G2076 true, G227 whatsoever things G3745 are honest, G4586 whatsoever things G3745 are just, G1342 whatsoever things G3745 are pure, G53 whatsoever things G3745 are lovely, G4375 whatsoever things G3745 are of good report; G2163 if there be any G1536 virtue, G703 and G2532 if there be any G1536 praise, G1868 think G3049 on these things. Commentary on Ruth 4 Matthew Henry Commentary
Chapter 4
In this chapter we have the wedding between Boaz and Ruth, in the circumstances of which there was something uncommon, which is kept upon record for the illustration, not only of the law concerning the marrying of a brother's widow (Deu. 25:5, etc.), for cases help to expound laws, but of the gospel too, for from this marriage descended David, and the Son of David, whose espousals to the Gentile church were hereby typified. We are here told,

Rth 4:9-12
Boaz now sees his way clear, and therefore delays not to perform his promise made to Ruth that he would do the kinsman's part, but in the gate of the city, before the elders and all the people, publishes a marriage-contract between himself and Ruth the Moabitess, and therewith the purchase of all the estate that belonged to the family of Elimelech. If he had not been (ch. 2:1) a mighty man of wealth, he could not have compassed this redemption, nor done this service to his kinsman's family. What is a great estate good for, but that it enables a man to do so much the more good in his generation, and especially to those of his own household, if he have but a heart to use it so! Now concerning this marriage it appears,
